Since the MG995 servo has become the victem of Jared and me for openservo testing
I've done a search for cheap traders (most of them are from hongkong and china) and found one on ebay that sells them for 6.2 USD a piece. Maybe there are even cheaper traders too, on alibaba you can search for the MG995 servo and get an overview them
On the other side, i have seen prices going up to 20 USD in the united states. That for a servo with very bad electronics on board...
Now i can manage with the 25 i have at home. 2 of them already have overshooted and damaged the plastic as shown here. But with the continues rotating Open-Encoder that can not happen anymore. All you have to do is remove the metal tap on the biggest gear. |

| good luck on the reprap. Do you plan to make progress with conductive epoxy, such that it can make the PCB and draw traces on it? Would be cool to some day print your own MG995. |

Well if I have the reprap mendel it will be possible, now the extruder uses a 0.5mm hole, think thats pretty big for a pcb pad these days.
now I'm gathering all the parts i need It's a really cool project but you also see that a lot of people buy 3mm PLA or ABS, almost every eshop is out of stock :p |

| I know it's getting OT, but eh. Have you thought of using OE with OS to make a closed loop system? Most folks use steppers, which can be a pain. |

You can find 3mm abs here at Ultimachine. But yea, I can rarely find the stuff. _________________ Sciatica Cures | Curing-Sciatica |
