My two cents on this is: I thinks it's best the code matures a bit more and we are cutting regular releases (i.e. 1.0, 1.1, etc...) before we start posting hex files. Posting .hex files sooner than this could be a burden to keep updated as the code is still changing on a daily basis. Also, at this time, I think it's worthwhile that people working with the OpenServo compile from source code. The tools are freely available over the Internet and not too hard to set up -- well CVS on Windows is kind of a pain.
In commercial software environments you would typically set up an automated ""nightly build"" of the latest versions of the software. We could look at doing this and automatically updating .hex files in CVS as the project matures.
